As we wind down the year in the 2021 holiday season, the Burke Area Farmers Market vendors and board are thinking about how grateful we are for the work we are able to do. We are grateful for our customers. Without shoppers, chatters, and playground players, the market wouldn't be the fun weekly event that it is. We are glad for every person who comes down, whether it's to make a haul of local food, to see friends, or just have supper. We couldn't do it without you, thank yo


Burke Area Farmers Market promotes connection and community resilience
We celebrated National Farmers Market Week at our August 5th Dog Days market by hosting 12 vendors, eating supper at The Dakota Cuban food truck, sending our kids down Burke Community Club sponsored bounce slide at least 100 times, dragging customers and vendors over to our photobooth contest, and giving away 17 door prizes ! July 15th market packed full of food and fun
The second week of the season is jam packed with fun for the whole family. First, you'll want to SHOP! You can expect to see lots of cool vendors, including: ๐Curt & Mandie Sinclair will have their perfectly washed and dried local lettuce. ๐Peg & Tom Glover are bringing the veg for you to fill up on zucchini, slicer cukes, beets, multi-color carrots, kale, and herbs. ๐Sheri Connell will be back with her wooden toys. ๐ K Mill Iron Ranch is bringing locally raised broiler


BAFM kicks off full summer event schedule with coloring contest
The Burke Area Farmers Market will host lots of fun events for kids this summer. We are still finalizing our schedule, but you can expect things like kids' yoga in the park, a Gregory County 4H activity, a bike rodeo hosted by the Community Memorial Hospital , a Burke Library summer reading program event in the Gazebo, a bounce slide sponsored by the Community Club, veggie tattoos and swag from First Fidelity Bank โ plus more! Our first fun event is a coloring contest. Y


BAFM kicking off 2021 season July 8th
Farmers market season is just around the corner! We will kick off the year with their first Market on Thursday July 8th from 5:30-7:00 PM at the Burke City Park . In addition to shopping with vendors, The Calamity Jane will be serving a BBQ meal for sale including pulled pork on a hoagie or a bun, broccoli grape salad, coleslaw, chips, and a drink. She will also have some homemade desserts and take and bake enchiladas. You will find many old and new friendly vendor faces at
