Last week, the Burke Area Farmers Market joined markets across the county in celebrating National Farmers Market Week 2024 . Cahoy’s Kitchen  served brisket tacos, Jacinta Tietgen performed a live set, Modern Woodman offered customer discounts, and the Burke Public Library hosted a children’s event. In September, American Farmland Trust and the Farmers Market Coalition announced the winners of the 15th annual America’s Farmers Market Celebration , a national event honoring the role of farmers markets that ran between June 21 – September 18, 2023.
