Last week, the Burke Area Farmers Market joined markets across the county in celebrating National Farmers Market Week 2024 . Cahoy’s Kitchen  served brisket tacos, Jacinta Tietgen performed a live set, Modern Woodman offered customer discounts, and the Burke Public Library hosted a children’s event. We gave away 31 door prizes that highlighted the creativity and abundance of our market vendors – plus one prize for our annual photo booth contest winner. Congrats, Ashley and Mike Green!...

This year, our market was named one of America's Favorite Farmers Markets! We couldn't be more proud and honored to wrap up the 2023 season this way. In September, American Farmland Trust and the Farmers Market Coalition announced the winners of the 15th annual America’s Farmers Market Celebration , a national event honoring the role of farmers markets that ran between June 21 – September 18, 2023.
